Black agate is a very common type of agate in nature. It is also a colloidal mineral. In mineralogy, it belongs to chalcedony.

Black agate symbolizes perseverance and has been used as an evil spirit and amulet since ancient times, symbolizing friendly love and hope. Long-term wear can make skin smooth and cheerful. In addition, black agate also has a name called Helix, which looks a bit like obsidian, but is relatively shiny, often carved into carvings or bracelet jewelry.

Black agate has been widely used since ancient times. In ancient times, people often used "pearl agate" to describe wealth. Many foreign legends mention that black agate can bring happiness and confidence to people who wear black agate, and bring dreams. Scholars regard black agate as the "third eye" in gems, symbolizing friendly love, and also representing hope.

Black Agate, like all black stones, is a grounding and protective crystal. It gives a calming peace that helps those during a period of bereavement. Black Agate gives inner strength to move on and is also very helpful in keeping the peace in stressful households. This calming stone will keep one steady when faced with practical decision-making or when doling out ‘tough love’.
Physically, Black Agate alleviates problems of the bones and joints, mobility issues and pain of the shoulder or neck.  It keeps the body in balance, especially as one ages.
